Mask, snorkel and fins come with every Maui trip. Bring these if you want more push on long whale swims, in a pair that fits you perfectly.

Why we recommend it

Finally, freediving power that fits in a normal suitcase.

Most freediving fins are long. Great in the water, a headache at check-in. The V3-30 Pro has a shorter carbon blade, so it slides into a regular suitcase and still gives you the push you need.

The 30 degree blade angle means less effort per kick. Less effort means less oxygen, and more time next to the whale.

Questions

Before you order

Do I need my own fins on a Maui expedition?

No. Mask, snorkel and fins are provided on every expedition. Bring your own if you want more power, or a fit you already know.

Will they really fit in my suitcase?

The blade is 57 cm, short for a freediving fin. That is the whole point: they go in a regular suitcase instead of a separate fin bag.

Are carbon fins hard to use?

No. Use a slow, relaxed kick from the hip and let the blade do the work. Most people feel the difference on the first swim.

How do I look after them?

Rinse them in fresh water after every swim, dry them out of the sun and store them flat. Never stand on the blades.

How long does delivery take?

Alchemy makes the fins to order. Expect around two weeks before they ship, so order well before your expedition.

Where do I buy them?

Directly from Alchemy. The button below takes you to the V3-30 Pro page on their website.

Ready to get in the water?

Pick your expedition and swim alongside humpbacks, mantas and whale sharks.
